It is situated within the Park Authority's Registered Office, state road 17 bis, very close to the urban center of Assergi (AQ) belonging to the municipality of L'Aquila, exactly within the Park's Information Point also hosting the Book Shop.
In the underground area there is the Antequarium, where valuable finds coming from the cave called Grotta a Male, from the excavation site of the Santa Maria di Assergi church and from Camarda are kept. These objects date back to the Paleolithic, Neolithic and Bronze Age, and they include flint tools, fragments of ceramic objects and wild animals' bones such as bears, deers and chamois.
