Among volcanoes

Capo Milazzo, a peninsula surrounded by the sea, is extended on the Tyrrhenian Sea and overlooks the Aeolian Islands between bays of crystal clear waters and breathtaking views. It is possible to discover natural beauties along the jagged coast, in a lush sea between seabeds and shallows full of life. The site has some naturalistic features that make it unique. Its geological features tell about a suggestive promontory: caves, many fossil deposits, studied by researchers from all over the world, and much more is open for tourists. Thanks to its lush depths, Nature offers a breathtaking landscape: the big gorgonians (white, yellow and with large red fans), the Posidonia oceanica and the black coral. Another fascinating organism is certainly the rare basket star.
