The life of the town is marked by several religious feasts all the year round. The main feasts dedicated to the patron S. Maria Assunta (on 24th May), to San Antonio from Padua (on 13th June), and to San Salvatore (the first Sunday of September) are accompanied by other minor feasts organized by the social categories. The intense religious activity of the inhabitants of Cabras highlights on the one hand the "sacred" side of the community, on the other hand the difficulty in distinguishing the religious side from the secular one. In these moments, very important for socialization and entertainment, the inhabitant of Cabras expresses at his best. He suspends his working activity and invests considerable sums so that the Organization Committee can complete the religious feasts with poetry contests, concerts, and spectacular fireworks.
