The House
The house, entirely renovated, is situated in Longarone, in the 15th century small town of Roggia, which avoided the disaster of Vajont on 9th October 1963. It represents the one and only evidence, together with the old schools and the town hall palace, of the old Longarone.
Situated at the crossroads of four valleys, the town has always been a strategic departure point to carry out tours in the nearby Val Zoldana, in the plain of Belluno, in Cadore and Ampezzano areas, in the Vajont Valley and also in the plain of Friuli.
Longarone has become an important fair trade area, first of all for the "MIG", the Home-made Ice-Cream International Exhibit.
There are two important north-eastern gates to
Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park: the first one across the wonderful Conca di Cajada, the second one across the wild but beautiful Soffranco ravine.
