This biotope is a marsh situated in a hollow at the bottom of Valle Lagarina. The hollow is transversally cut by some ditches which have been dug in the attempt to reclaim these marshy lands; the vegetation consists of a sedge field (Caricetum elatae) invaded by water reeds [Phragmites australis (Cav.)Trin.].
