It streches in the Valsugana valley bottom, in the lower part of a cone and on a tract of the underlying alluvional flatland. It includes a part of the abandoned Brenta river bed. The vegetation features marsh alders and black alders [Alnus glutinosa (L.) Gaertn.] , and also sedge fields (Peucedano-Caricetum acutiformis) and wet meadows, the latter almost completely covered by water canes.
