One day to discover Bracciano-Martignano Regional Park

One day to discover Bracciano-Martignano Regional Park, protected area of about 16,500 ha situated within the broader area of Sabatini Mountains, between the Provinces of Rome and Viterbo. Within the Park boundaries, there are two important Natural Monuments: Caldara di Manziana, characterized by the presence of sulfur waters and birch tree woodlands, and the wetland of the Pantane and Lagusiello di Trevignano, a precious shelter for the aquatic birds.
The Park territory, the result of the activity of the volcanic area of Sabatino which started about 600,000 years ago, is characterized by the presence of Bracciano and Martignano Lakes and by the woodlands, decorating about the 30% of the surface area, with chestnut groves and oak woodlands characterizing the forest landscape, enriched by the presence of the beech tree woodlands of Mt. Raschio and Oriolo, recognized as Site of Community Importance. Note: the NaTours will be held with a minimum number of participants.
