The Chalet

The chalet, a characteristic local building with stone walls and wooden beams, has been recently renovated and lies in the summer mountain pasture of Ompio (1,000m) in the Municipality of San Bernardino Verbano, at about 10 km from Verbania and at the borders of Val Grande National Park.
Surrounded by nature and enjoying the wonderful view of Maggiore Lake, it is an ideal departure point for many tours, with trails for both expert hikers and beginners.
The chalet is accessible on foot only from the public car park at about 10 minutes, connected by an easy trail.

Accommodation

The house offers a kitchen/dining room equipped with oven, gas stove, fridge, wood stove, TV, radio, a bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed welcoming a total of 4 guests, a bathroom with shower and washing machine; at the lower floor, a basement with daybed.
The outside courtyard is equipped with table, benches, deck-chairs, and sun umbrella.
Hand towels and linen are included.

The chalet is available from April to October for families and for everyone who would like to spend a peaceful and relaxing stay.

At about 50m you will find CAI Fantoli Mountain Hut with catering service based on traditional local cuisine.
