This beautiful tower is at the beginning of the trail from Vernazza to Corniglia.

Being a tower, the accommodation is peculiar.

Entering at the base of the tower, a passage leads to a vast open space with double a bed, dining space with table and kitchenette.

The kitchen is simple and equipped with the essentials: a fridge and electric hobs. The old marble sink makes you feel like in a Ligurian kitchen of the past.
All the decoration and pieces of furniture are unique pieces, designed with ingenuity and artistic sensibility by the current owner. Giorgio is a sculptor and set designer, his wife a theatre director.

The door leading to the small bathroom with shower and washing machine is a further piece of art: is was hand painted with Indian ink by a famous designer.
A wooden staircase leads to the first floor, where a second “bedroom” is, with a hand-made French bed (130 cm).

A second staircase leads to the top floor, with a single bed. This room is not included in the rent.
Guests who want to enjoy the beauty of the place will have to renounce some “modern comforts” in exchange for its exclusiveness.

In case two couples or a family of four rent the place, please consider that guests sleeping on the first floor need to go through the ground floor to access the bathroom. The garden around the towers offers hours of beauty and relaxation. A table is placed in a cool spot under a pergola, and Mediterranean plants and herbs grow on the terraces below.

Although the tower is still within Vernazza, it is uphill at the beginning of the trail to Corniglia: reaching it may not be easy for unfit people, as the road is steep and irregular. Children under six not admitted; impassable for wheelchairs; pets not admitted; unsuitable for elderly or disabled people.

Please consider that there is a single bathroom at the ground floor, and that the furniture consists of unique pieces of art created by the owner.
The tower floors are only connected by narrow stairs.

Torre Muìn a Véntu is one of Vernazza’s two towers, but the only ancient one. It’s been preserved almost as it was in the past.

It dates back to 1100 a.D., when the Genoese Doria family ruled the village.
It was originally used as windmill.
