The route

  • Trail Conditions: On foot, Accessible Trail
  • Interest: Flora
  • Length: 0.461 km

The routes, that have been planned to be used by people with walking disabilities and, partly, by partially sighted people, will be sensorial routes particularly enhancing the theme of flowers and of all the related feelings.
Along the routes five tactile panels (40 x 60 cm) have been firmly fastened to the ground and report a text in Italian, English and Braille. The first panel also reports a relief map of the route.
The itinerary has a total length of about 461 m. The project also made it necessary to implement renovation/adaptation works to make the public toilets near the itinerary accessible and to make the area safe, removing dangerous conditions (caused by dangerous plants, escape ways, gates closing etc.). It was also necessary to fix the grounds of the boulevards surrounding the new route in order to prevent people from stumbling or falling, which could have serious consequences for elderly or disabled people.
