Being a Guide: more like a holiday with you than a real job!

Italy has a lot to offer everywhere, but I think I was born in a truly special place. The border between three of the best known and admired Italian regions: Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna and Liguria.
Two National Parks and three Regional Parks (each of which is not even 20 km from my own home) prove that this is a really unique place. And if this is not enough, try to find another place in Italy with marble quarries that have been active for over 2,000 years. And what a marble! Unparalleled in the world.
Moreover, Cinque Terre and Portovenere are a World Heritage, and there are the only two mountains outside of the Alpine range to be classified as Alps; or should I get started on Portofino, “discovered” in the 1950s by a guy who used a whaling ship as personal yacht?
Not convinced yet? Then I’ll only say Parma ham and Parmigiano Reggiano.

So far I’ve only mentioned what almost everybody knows, and which deserves to be experienced at least once in life, but there is much more.
Vermentino di Luni, Bianco delle Cinque Terre, Colonnata lard, testaroli, marocca, panigacci, patona, castagnaccio, Monterosso anchovies, mesciua, cian, and I could go on much longer.

Do you want a people that stood up to the Romans for over five centuries? We got it!
Ruins of an important Roman city? Got it!
Mountain peaks to conquer? Got them, but alas, only with a view of the sea!
Streams of cool and crystalline water to bathe in on scorching summer days? We even have spectacular gorges where you can hike in wetsuit, lifejackets and helmet!
Do you want to swim in a clear sea?
Walk along a historical Roman route among Europe’s most important ones?
Bike among half-abandoned Medieval villages, along almost deserted roads and tracks?
Good wine?
Incredible tasting food?
We’ve got all this!

Only one thing is missing: your choice to visit us, with calm, curiosity and respect.
I will be happy to guide you in this wonderful discovery.
