Info
Marine protected areas include stretches of sea and coast where human activities are partially or totally limited.
The typology of each area varies according to the applied safeguard laws. The establishment of marine protected areas is ruled by the Law 979/82 "for the sea preservation" and by the general law concerning the parks.
The concept lying behind such regulations is to promote the "substainable use" of the territory, in other words to allow a perfect blending of human activities with the natural habitats and ecosystems.
