Stretch of the coast in the north of the river Tiber mouth, at the border between the Municipalities of Cerveteri and Ladispoli, in the Province of Rome. The Marsh of Torre Flavia is a very important wetland for the safeguard of the migratory avifauna and for the conservation of one of the rare traces of what was once the coastal environment of Lazio, with sandy dunes and a wide system of lakes, coastal ponds, and swamps, large plain forests and a faunistic richness which is nowadays witnessed only by iconography and historical documentation.
