The Ente Parco dell’Etna, within its activity aimed at the creation of a better approach towards the territory and its environmental heritage, and at the diffusion of an eco-compatible culture aimed at favoring the direct involvement of the local Schools and of the Associations and/or volunteer groups operating in the Park territory in the tourist-environmental field and in the field of entertainment, organizes from Friday 7th to Sunday 9th May, in collaboration with the State Corps of Foresters, an event called “…perché il Parco è anche mio”.
The event will take place according to a calendar which, by guaranteeing the free participation of everyone, will involve in the first two days the schools and on Sunday the volunteer associations with interventions of environmental cleaning in situation of pollution existing in specific areas of the protected territory. The sites interested by the interventions will be soon choosen.
While the Ente Parco will work as “operational unit” in the organization of the event and will provide all the necessary material, including free kits for every participants (bandana, gloves, sticks with shoe, other things), each Park Municipality will promote the initiative, animate the day, and give instructions for the recovery and the disposal of the waste collected in the three days of the event.
