On 16th May in the Parchi e Riserve Naturali del Lago Maggiore (Piemonte, near Torino)
The Ente di Gestione dei Parchi e delle Riserve Naturali del Lago Maggiore organizes the 9th Edition of “Festalparco”, scheduled on Sunday 16th May 2004 in the Riserva Naturale di Fondotoce (Verbania).
The meeting will take place along the access road to the Camping Isolino (road to Feriolo).
It will be a day dedicated to sport and nature with contests, sport demonstrations, and entertainment within the Riserva Naturale di Fondotoce.
"Sport and environment" will be the themes of the event (according to the theme of "The European Day of Parks").
During the whole day several sport associations from Verbania will organize demonstrations and friendly contests; the most trained persons will have the opportunity to engage in cross-country race or in the mountain-bike race, open to everyone, and become the champions... of the reserve. At the prize giving our local sport champions will be present: with their participation in international contests, they contribute to spread the knowledge of the natural beauties of our territory.
