Matilde Path

  • Trail Conditions: On foot

The Matilde Path (detail on www.sentieromatilde.it), together with the Spallanzani Path and the Ducati Path, is one of the strategic ridge crossing routes in the province of Reggio Emilia towards the Apennine ridge and Tuscany. About 80 km long, it goes from Ciano d'Enza to San Pellegrino in Alpe and is entirely marked and tabulated with horizontal signs (red-white-red varnish marks) and vertical signs (metallic arrows) according to the national CAI standard. The symbol "SM" is engraved in the arrowheads. In addition, at the main points of the path some rest areas have been set up for hikers with an information board as a whole.
