Paesaggio Naturale e Seminaturale Protetto Collina Reggiana - Terre di Matilde

Reachable along the SS 513, the Tassobbio valley is characterized by thick forests of Scots pine and suggestive centers, such as Piagnolo, Scalucchia and Crovara, rich in valuable stone buildings; Legoreccio, where you can admire the fifteenth-century tower house of the Terzi family, then customs between Parma and Reggio; then Pineto, where three houses of the Da Palude counts are still visible, in the smallest of which the prisons are still almost intact. Not far from Scalucchia, it is possible to visit, surrounded by unspoilt nature, the waterfall of the Rio Tassaro, a water jump of 7-8 meters embedded in a narrow gorge where the sun never beats.
