Paesaggio Naturale e Seminaturale Protetto Collina Reggiana - Terre di Matilde

At the foot of Mount Venere at the end of the last century excavation campaigns were conducted during which evidence of the Bronze Age was uncovered. The archaeological site of Mount Venere is renowned for the abundance of objects in worked metal, in bronze, that have been found there. To reach the area, from Casina take the municipal Migliara-Leguigno-Montale and arrive near Ariolo, to the east of the village you enter the unpaved road Leguigno-Montale and follow it for a short distance, to a hairpin bend proceed along a mule track that leads to archaeological excavations.
