Alder wood grown on a soil soaked in water. A biotope of considerable importance, which has been recently acquired by WWF which manages it in collaboration with the Park Authority.
Locally known as the
"Madonna delle Ciappellette", it is situated in a suburban area, along
the provincial road leading to Nizza Monferrato. The apse is what is
left of the old little panoramic church which depended in the past on
the Benedictine Abbey of Pomposa. The main body was subsequently
rebuilt and it presents several Neogothic patterns.
