In the ethnographic museum "Ecomuseo del Freidano", in Settimo Torinese, the testimonies to this territory's historical facts are exhibited and the past atmospheres and workplaces have been recreated. Main theme of the Ecomuseo is water and the jobs which existed thanks to its presence.
On October 21, 2012 the Visitor Center of the Parco del Po e della Collina Torinese was opened in the same building complex of the New Mill in Settimo Torinese. The new Visitor Center covers a 160-meters-wide surface and shows the rich faunal heritage of the Parco del Po area near Turin. Visitors have the opportunity to visit an imaginary water path, where some dioramas represent both local animal species and those from different zones of the planet. Each model animal can be handled so that a multimedia presentation starts to describe the main behavioral features of the touched animal. Tactile and auditory experiences during the visit are particularly ideal for a very young public, and they can also allow people with low vision to take part to the visit.
