With a production of about 1,500 quintals per year and ideal soils, rich and well cultivable, Molino dei Torti and some adjacent Municipalities play an important role in the cultivation of garlic.
There are two harvesting periods: in June for "ravagno", to eat preferably raw and used for fresh consumption; on the contrary, the garlic harvested in July is dried. Maturation is carried out in the threshing floor of the agricultural holdings. Cleaned with a special brush to make it whiter and to remove the impurities, garlic is packaged in bunches, preserved on wooden boards in cool, airy, and dry premises until October/December. At the beginning of September, Molino dei Torti celebrates its garlic with a festival-market.
