The world of orchids is fascinating and still mysterious. Widespread almost all around the world, many orchid species - about one hundred - also live in Italy, in Valle Camonica and Adamello Park, where their versatile presence is promoted by the great variety of environments going from the mountains of Adamello to the valley bottoms and to wetlands and lake areas. Our orchids are herbaceous plants, perennial and terrestrial, whose flowers gather in ear or bunch-shaped inflorescences, usually of small size: an orchid flower rarely exceeds two centimeters.
