| The Park extends along the lower course of the river Adda, between Rivolta d'Adda in the north and Castelnuovo Bocca d'Adda, at the mouth of the Po, in the south. It includes the flat stretch of the river characterized by wide agricultural fields, natural and semi-natural woods and poplar grove cultivations. The remaining wetlands and the oxbows are remarkable from a naturalistic point of view, they are rich in aquatic avifauna, like the reserve "Adda morta" and Zerbaglia, where there is the largest heronry of the Park. |
