Environmental Education Proposals - School Year 2012/2013

Environmental education plays without a doubt an essential role for Veglia Devero Park Authority which, among the other things, aims at "promoting and organizing the territory for didactic, cultural, and scientific purposes" according to what agreed at the moment of its establishment (ART. 3 of L.R. 14th March 1995, n. 32).

The Park has been promoting the project called "Il Saltabric I" since its establishment in 1995. It is a didactic project dealing with environmental education, whose aim is to favor the growth of an environmental awareness of the complexity of the natural environment and of the importance of safeguard institutions. The Saltabric project was elaborated by a working group consisting of teachers, Park keepers, and naturalists. The project is divided into three different projects dedicated to middle schools: "Saltabric I" for the 1st grade, "Saltabric II" for the 2nd grade, and "Saltabric III" for the 3rd grade.
Over the years the project "Saltabric I" has been promoted and carried out in several schools, and the Project "Saltabric II" for the 2nd grade is underway at the present moment. It will be ready for the next school year.
