Created by the local historian Father Francesco Ferraironi and strongly required by a group of enthusiastic inhabitants of Triora, the Ethnography and Withcraft Museum of Triora was established also thanks to a group of enthusiastic and skilled young people from Genoa. Visiting these rooms is the best way to start an unforgettable journey leading to the discovery of Triora, its nature, its history and its people.

The Ethnographical Section of the museum consists of six main rooms, each representing part of the farmers' daily lives in the village and in the valley, through the faithful representation of rural life scenes and the exhibition of instruments and objects used for the different working activities.
In the basement, which was also used as a prison, there is the section of the Museum dedicated to Witchcraft, where visitors can feel opposing feelings ranging from curiosity to fear of supernatural events. On the one hand the beliefs and superstitions are still alive in the village, on the other hand many documents kept in the Genoa's State Archives - which are faithfully reproduced in the museum - report terrible tortures and pitiless questionings occurred on the occasion of the trial in 1587.
Four gloomy rooms are dedicated to this tragic chapter of the local history. In the first two rooms the scenes of the questioning and imprisonment of the charged women are represented. In the other cells besides the trial documents also some witches in their daily activities are represented.
