After walking along the shores of Chiotas Lake, take uphill a shady small valley, undisputed realm of wild ibex and chamois, leading to Colle di Finestrelle.
There the Group of Gelas stands out imposingly, with its glaciers reflecting themselves in the still waters of a small lake.
The imposing Gelas will be the background for the whole downhill stretch.
