Alpi Marittime Park has started a series of volunteer activities representing for nature-lovers, both young and not very young people, an opportunity to collaborate with the Park Authority in activities promoting the safeguard of the environment, the scientific research, the promotion and maintenance of the territory.
Anyone can take part in these activities by joining "Amico Parco", a group of nature-lovers born in 2007 which has become a Voluntary Work Association, officially included in the provincial register in the section "Tutela e valorizzazione dell'ambiente" (Environmental Safeguard and Enhancement).

"Amico Parco" is inspired to solidarity, civil commitment, and social cohesion principles, and offers the opportunity to get involved in initiatives for the safeguard of the environment. Some volunteers will collaborate with the Park Keepers and experts of the largest protected area of Piedmont in the monitoring activity of the Bearded Vulture or migratory birds of prey, in the collection of data in the field, in the maintenance measures carried out along the paths and on the trail markers. Many volunteers will help the staff of the tourist field during tourist events and tours, providing information and help to the visitors of the protected area. The Park will provide to all the volunteers a basic training for the chosen activity, accommodation in the guest house or surveillance huts, as well as the occasion to get involved personally in the management of the protected area and its wonderful environment.

The statute of "Amico Parco" also considers the opportunity to take part in a less "active" way for those who share the Park goals and are concerned about the future, but do not have the possibility to actively take part in the activities. As a matter of fact, you can become an "ordinary member": in this way, you will have the opportunity to take part in the special initiatives organized by the Park, in the free guided tours, in thematic meetings, to receive news and programs, and to receive the exclusive T-Shirt of the Association.
