The Park covers a total surface area of 7,444 hectares in the Municipality of Antrona Schieranco and Viganella, in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola. It extends itself from the 500m of altitude of the valley bottom near Viganella to the 3,656m of altitude of Pizzo Andolla in Upper Loranco Valley in which the Swiss valleys of Zwischbergenthal and Saastal converge. The Park involves the right hydrographic slope of Antrona Valley upstream Viganella, as well as a stretch of valley bottom housing the historical settlements of this Municipality and the head of the Valley, entirely including Troncone Valley and Banella Valley and the stretch of Loranco Valley upstream Alpe dei Cavalli Lake. This area includes four artificial basins (Cingino Lake, Campliccioli Lake, Camposecco Lake, Alpe dei Cavalli Lake) and Antrona Lake.
