The citrus fruits cultivation is turning to organic farming. Therefore, this cultivation will respect the EEC rules 2092/91, maintaining the soil fertility through agronomic practices like green manuring, exclusively using organic and mineral fertilizers. Infesting plants are controlled through mechanic measures and not through chemical products, but using vegetal extracts, rival microorganisms of pathogens/plant eaters, and products of mineral origins. Citrus fruits are cultivated in the lemon grove of "Prà de la Fam". Recovered by Alto Garda Bresciano Mountain Community, the lemon grove represents an important museum through which (together with a few more lemon groves) the local agricultural tradition of lemon-growing is kept alive and rediscovered. The processing takes place in a small mountain workshop which will soon obtain the organic farming label too, through traditional boiling and processing methods.
