Short ring-route, with no technical difficulties, but with a considerable difference in height. Of particular landscape interest, Pian della Cavalla, a big undulating meadow at 1,290m asl offering, when the snow melts, a spectacular blooming of narcissi.
The itinerary leaves from Fontanarossa town center. You will have to face an uphill trail surrounded by a wood of centuries-old chestnut trees at first and by beech trees after, leading to the ridge dominating Fascia, that with ups and downs on a dirt road leads to the charming Pian della Cavalla, a panoramic point where you can enjoy a beautiful view including Val Terenzone. From here, with a funny downhill dirt road, we will get back to Fontanarossa. During the summer, after the tour, you can bathe in the river Trebbia you will meet at the beginning of the asphalt road leading to the town.
