The "Via del Mare" (Trail of the Sea) is a trail involving the Communities of Genovesato, Pavese, Alessandrino, and Piacentino.
This cycle-pedestrian itinerary creates a connection between Milan, Pavia, Varzi, and upper Staffora valley, the ancient "Via del Sale" (Trail of the Salt), and the Regional Parks of Mt. Antola and Mt. Portofino.
Thanks to its great development (163 km), the Trail of the Sea is characterized by a great variety of environmental and landscape features, cultures and traditions, and an important historical-monumental richness. The territories crossed extend from the plain to Portofino Park, passing through the hills of Oltrepò Pavese and the ridges of Staffora, Curone, Borbera, Trebbia, and Fontanabuona Valley and Antola Regional Park.
