Park your car and, by bus or underground, on foot or by bike, come and
visit Parco Regionale dell'Appia Antica. We are waiting for you!
Since March 1997 the whole Park territory, 3.500 hectares, is closed to
the traffic of private vehicles on Sundays and holidays, and transforms
itself into the largest pedestrian island of the town, where you can go
on foot or by bike (be careful: along the stretches where the ancient
Roman paving has been brought back to light, you must carry the bike by
hand).
An occasion you cannot miss if you want to spend the day within one of
the most beautiful landscapes of the world: among archaeological
treasures and itineraries surrounded by nature, tours by bike or on
foot.
By visiting this web site www.atac.roma.it you will be able to find all the information you need about public transport and with the 'find the line' function you can plan your route to reach the Park.
