The extra-urban stretch of Appia Antica, in the territory of the Municipalities of Ciampino and Marino, where it begins to gently climb towards the Castles, runs along vineyards and olive groves, evidences of a rural past which is still alive in the popular images and memory. It is here that it is possible to find the features characterizing the current landscape of Appia Antica Park with all its natural, historical, archaeological, agricultural, and urban features.
