Porcini Mushrooms

Curiosities: the Park houses an extraordinarily rich forest biodiversity of plants and animals. The natural products of our woodlands include mushrooms, standing out for variety and quality, and among them the king of our autumn tables: Porcino mushroom (Boletus edulis). Waiting for a quality and territorial typicality label that our mushrooms would deserve, we can taste it in the several restaurants, trattorias, and holiday farms of the Park. Already appreciated in the Middle Ages, mushrooms represented (and still represent) an important feature of the rural economy of the Park, where holdings dedicating themselves to mushroom conservation and sale work.
