Mt. Maggiorasca

From the Passo del Tomarlo the ridge path offers breathtaking views from the Alps to the sea and reaches Mount Maggiorasca (1804 a.s.l.) the highest peak of the Ligurian Apennines. The route crosses one of the areas included in the Natura 2000 Network Sites, areas of high naturalistic value protected by European directives.

• Meeting point: 9.00 am in Rezzoaglio at the Park headquarters
• Return: 4.00 pm
• Difficulty: challenging (about 4 hours - 400 m height difference)
• Cost: 10 euros
• Maximum number of participants: 15

Essential equipment: waterproof windbreaker, gloves, hat, sunglasses, winter hiking boots. The Park offers 14 pairs of snowshoes which, upon request, could be rented for € 5.00. In case of bad weather, the excursion could be canceled and depending on the snow conditions the destination may undergo variations. From the place of the meeting there will be a further transfer (around 20 min) to the starting points of the excursions.
