Itinerario principalmente su sterrato che si sviluppa tra suggestive faggete e punti panoramici sulla costa. Adatto ad essere percorso anche in MTB ed a cavallo.

Il punto di partenza si trova in corrispondenza della Chiesa di Corona. Si segue la strada asfaltata in salita che supera alcune villette a sinistra ed attraversa un bosco misto di pini marittimi, castagni, erica arborea con tracce di vegetazione infestante.
La strada, ora sterrata, piega a destra lungo il tracciato dell’ippovia in prossimità di Località Longhini e prosegue fino al bel prato di Casa Bazia (592 mt). Da qui la strada sale attraversando un bosco di faggi ad alto fusto fino ad un bivio dove, continuando verso sinistra, si raggiunge il punto panoramico del Bric del Puma. Impostato sulle rocce calcaree del Rio Crivezzo, questi offre un’ampia e suggestiva vista contemporaneamente sul massiccio del Beigua e sulla costa da Portofino a Capo Noli.
Tornati al bivio si prosegue sulla sterrata in salita fino all’Alta Via dei Monti Liguri (Sella Tortona,727 mt.). Si prende a destra seguendo le indicazioni per il Giovo su uno stradello asfaltato immerso in una faggeta punteggiata da alberi di agrifoglio.Ci troviamo nel complesso boschivo denominato “Bosco di Savona” caratterizzato da una prevalenza di faggi, governati a fustaia, mentre il resto del bosco è a ceduo composto (roverella e castagno). Importante la presenza dell’agrifoglio, pianta a carattere relittuale, che in questa zona è particolarmente diffuso con forme arboree anche di una certa rilevanza. Si abbandona l’asfalto e si imbocca il sentiero nel bosco. L’AVML si sviluppa in questo tratto sul crinale (segnavia due tondi azzurri che accompagnano la bandierina rosso-bianco-rossa dell’AVML) mantenendosi dolcemente in quota e alternando tratti di bosco a piccole radure aperte e panoramiche. Giunti al Bric Tamburo (736 mt), punto panoramico sul Beigua e sulle case del Giovo, il sentiero scende abbastanza ripido tra boschi misti a prevalenza di conifere lungo il quale si incontra una fonte ben segnalata.
La discesa termina su una rotabile dove bisogna svoltare a destra invertendo il senso di marcia. Si percorre ora un lungo tratto orizzontale sterrato quindi si scende finché la strada diventa asfaltata per poi inserirsi nel primo tratto del percorso.

Itinerary mainly developing along a dirt road, among charming beech tree woods and panoramic points over the coast. Suitable to go through by MTB and on horseback.

The departure point is situated near the Church of Corona. Follow the uphill asphalted road going beyond some small villas on the left and crossing a mixed wood with maritime pines, chestnut trees, heather with traces of infesting vegetation.
The road, now dirt road, turns right along the track of the route for horseriding near Location Longhini and reaches the beautiful meadow of Casa Bazia (592 m). From here the street climbs by crossing a wood consisting of high-trunk beech trees up to a junction where, going ahead on the left, you reach the panoramic point of Bric del Puma. On the calcareous rocks of Rio Crivezzo, this point offers a wide and charming view both over the massif of Beigua and over the coast from Portofino to Capo Noli.
Go back to the junction and go ahead on the climbing dirt road up to the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri (Sella Tortona, 727 mt.). Turn right by following the indications leading to Giovo along an asphalt road surrounded by a beech tree wood scattered with hollies. We are in the wood called “Bosco di Savona”, dominated by beech trees, managed as high forest, while the rest of the wood is coppice wood (downy oak and chestnut tree). Important the presence of the holly, a relict plant, which is particularly widespread in this area with considerable arboreal forms. Leave the asphalt road and take the path in the wood. The AVML develops in this stretch on the ridge (trail mark: two blue circles together with the red-white-red flag of the AVML) maintaining gently at high altitudes and alternating stretches of wood to small open and panoramic clearings. Once you get to Bric Tamburo (736 m), a panoramic point over the Beigua and over the houses of the Giovo, the path becomes rather steep by descending among mixed woods where the conifers dominate, along which you find a well-signaled source.
The descent ends on a carriage road where you must turn right and change direction. Follow a long dirt horizontal stretch, then descend until the road becomes an asphalt road and enter the first stretch of the route.
