  • Trail Conditions: On foot
  • Length: 0.5 km
  • Difference in height: flat trail

Stream Cervaro was born from Mt. Le Felci (853m asl), in the territory of the Municipality of Monteleone di Puglia, then it crosses the Province of Avellino and crosses again the Province of Foggia between Panni and Montaguto. It is 93 km long. It flows into the Adriatic Sea in the north of Zapponeta. Along its shores there are imposing specimens of willows and poplars, above all white poplars.
The stream forms a big bend above all near Bosco dell'Incoronata and this enables the waters to slow down their course and supply this ecosystem. The route crosses a stretch of forest characterized by imposing oaks and heads for the stream Cervaro that, with its waters, makes the soil fertile. Along the stream, a thick forest of willows and poplars of considerable size formed the characteristic ecosystem of the watercourses: the gallery forest. The microclimate also becomes completely different from the one with dry climate characterizing the territory surrounding the Park, the plain lacking of a tree covering.
