Parco Naturale delle Capanne di Marcarolo

The Park area is only marginally interested by wine production: usually the hills are too high to allow an extensive wine production. However, some areas are situated in the territory of two important denominations: Gavi and Dolcetto di Ovada. The former is reserved to white wines obtained from pure cortese grapes, and can be dry, sparkling, and spumanti. However, most of the production consists of dry wines characterized by a pale yellow color with more or less intense green reflections, for their honey and acacia flowers aroma and the pleasant acid heart.
