Sea Buckthorn

Hippophae Rhamnoides is a wild shrub growing along the sunny shores of the rivers of Friuli Venezia Giulia; although it is thorny, as the name says, is a real gift from nature. Humble and strong, this small shrubby tree produces showy orange berries, very rich in vitamin C. These fruits, which in autumn seem almost to burst out all the sun they have absorbed during the summer, contain considerable quantities of carotene, various vitamins of the B group, and above all vitamin F, an antioxidant par excellence. The Sea Buckthorn is a spontaneous, ecological, vitamin and ornamental plant.
Azienda Agricola Pecol is engaging in an important action of recovery and enhancement of the Sea Buckthorn. After years of research and experiments, it began the cultivation in its natural habitat: Upper Val Tagliamento in Carnia. From the gathering of berries and after the meticulous processing, you can obtain various products, precious and exclusive: syrup, apple and sea buckthorn cream, herb teas with berries, liqueur, and fruit juice.
