Mario Marchetti's experience in wine-production is the result of his family's long tradition in the field, the beginning of which dates back to the 19th century. The estate lies just outside the city of Ancona, at the vary heart of the Rosso Cónero DOC wine area , and is composed of a single, immense vineyard, facial south, in which Montepulciano (90%) and Sangiovese quality vines are cultivated. Differently from other vintners, Marchetti delays harvest, so as to obtain a quality of wine fit for again. The whole process is carried out in the estate's wine-cellar. The final product is the perfect balance between the use of traditional techniques, such as fermentation through long period's of steeping, and modern technology, for example by means of the constant monitoring of fermentation temperature so as to ensure the superior quality of the final product. The great number of prizes and awards, both national, and international, attributed to the owner of the estate gives proof of the excellence reached.
