Pinewood of Classe and Salt Pans in Cervia
In the Heart of the Pinewood
Take the road SS 16 Adriatica. In Fosso Ghiaia there is the entrance of the Pinewood of Classe: from this entrance you will get to the Parco 1° Maggio, the heart of the pinewood. This is the departure point for charming itineraries on foot, by bike, or on horseback. If you go ahead towards the east, you will reach the coastal pinewood and dunes or, if you decide to go south, you can observe the wetlands of Ortazzo and Ortazzino, where you can sight Little Egrets, Coots, Terns, and Black-winged stilts. These routes can also be gone through coming from the south (Cervia – Milano Marittima – Lido di Savio - Lido di Classe) or from the north (Lido di Dante), and even from Ravenna, by skirting the banks of the Fiumi Uniti.
