From the fishing station "Foce" to the Comacchio saltworks, Valle di Fossa Porto, and Valle Zavelea
The itinerary (approximately 9 km long) begins at Stazione da Pesca Foce (Foce fishing station). Turn left and reach Valle Uccelliera, a brackish water valley where duck flocks of different species can be observed, especially in the winter and during the migrations. Further on, the Comacchio saltworks host numerous species of birds that dwell in muddy areas; seagulls and terns nest there, together with Italy's largest flamingo colony and only spoonbill colony.
