Etna Cherry

Etna Cherry, whose recognition by Mipaf is under examination, is cultivated in an area of about 500 ha, with a production of no more than 1,000 tons (Giarre, S. Alfio, Milo, and Trecastagni). It is a rare fruit representing an ancient local product of Etna, obtained from a considerable variety of cultivars including Mastrantoni.
