First contribution to the census of the arboreal specimens which for their features and age are unique or very rare in the landscape of Etna. The 39 description tables present the data regarding size, location, habitat, and vegetational conditions of the plants. Moreover, myths and legends about them which are still alive in the local popular culture are described.
