The mountain, made up of sandstone rocks, is home to many Nordic species that find refuge in grasslands and cliffs: among them the Antennaria carpathica and the Soldanella pupilla, which reach here the southern limit of distribution. On the northern side there is the typical vegetation of the nival valleys, within which it is possible to observe very rare plants such as the herbaceous willow and the glacial cudweeds. On the grasslands, populated by groundhogs, you could see the golden eagle.
