Close to the city, the Parco dei Gessi Bolognesi offers landscapes of unexpected beauty: bare rocky cliffs overlooking large basins, similar to natural amphitheatres, corners hiding entrances to caves, harsh ridges that, like dark mountains in miniature, break some clay slopes. The environmental education courses, planned according to children age and schools' programs, recover many topics, mainly related to the geological and naturalistic features of the Protected Area (gypsum, ravines, wetlands...) but also to sustainable agriculture, waste, ecology and energy...
It is possible to agree on targeted proposals that accompany the individual teacher in original paths. For this reason, we have created FuoriClasse, a way of working that meets also the need for coexistence.
The educational proposal of the Park includes two types of activities:
The "Green Pages" illustrate all the didactic proposals for schools (Didactic Modules and Guided Visits)

The Park offers for all schools a wide range of guided tours and educational workshops that could be carried out in the Park, at the Farmsteads or at the Visitor Center of Villa Torre. These visits will take the kids to discover some evocative and rich environments, incredibly close to the city. They could be integrated with curricular studies but also for simply satisfying the need for fun and the sense of adventure and socialization.
The Park offers to local schools some didactic modules, consisting of several meetings, to be carried out both in class and in the field. They allow to deepen the environmental study or some specific themes and to insert this proposal into the curricular programming.
