The itinerary follows the gypsum outcrops of the Farneto, between the streams Zena and Idice, and it touches great closed depressions such as the Buca dell'Inferno, the Buca di Goibola, and the Buca di Ronzano. It closely follows areas of great naturalistic value and characterized by a great environmental vulnerability. The route follows a non-asphalt road shaded by the wood, from which you will enjoy wonderful views on the surrounding territories. This road was part of a Medieval itinerary linking the plain to the ancient road of Toscana, going through Pizzocalvo, Ronzano, L'Erermo, Ca' Maleto di Sopra, and Casola Canina, and going ahead through Monte delle Formiclle and Monte Bibele.
