Points of Interest

Along the stream Gesso there are:

  • a didactic vegetable garden
  • the municipal sports facilities, including a futuristic artificial track to practice cross-country skiing in all seasons
  • a small beach
  • a picnic area Santuario Angeli, equipped with tables, benches, and drinkable water
  • Santuario degli Angeli
  • LIPU Natural Garden
  • the "butterflies thematic trail" ... in a wings beat
  • historical-cultural route "Gino Giordanengo"
  • Crocetta area, characterized by a wood (consisting of two different formations - black locust tree and common ash - bordering the cycle-way and used as "green classroom" and permanent didactic center on forest issues), a small lake, and a "meadow in bloom" in spring and summer.

Along the river Stura there are:

  • Madonna della Riva Sanctuary
  • the recreational area of the Canoeing Center of Cuneo "Le Basse - non solo acqua" (Cuneo, Basse di Stura)
  • the recreational area of Via delle Isole (Madonna delle Grazie), characterized by the presence of a wetland near the re-emerging spring (the so-called "Fontanone", a particularly interesting habitat for many animal and vegetable species), a meadow, and a raised area to offer favorable conditions for the growth of certain shrubs
  • Sant'Anselmo wood (Bombonina)
  • a thick network of canals built from the 15th century onwards
  • the nature trail "Parole di legno" (S. Croce di Cervasca), to discover the trees populating the local woods of the lower mountains.
