If you come from Pontechiaradovo, the uphill trail leaves from the evident carriage road climbing on the left for a few meters before reaching the gate preventing from going ahead along the Gola. Following trail 107A, you will reach at 338m of altitude a small mountain hut with spring at the edge of a clearing. Go ahead across the maquis towards the foot of the high calcareous walls until you take on the right trail 107B. Some short hairpin bends, and you will reach the entrance of Grotta del Vernino. The trail continues climbing on the left, crossing on the right some exposed rocks, and climbing with hairpin bends the steep scree. Do not leave the track, above all downhill, until you reach the flat trail crossing for about 2 km the sides of Colle Tordina and Colle Foglia. From Case Marcellini, you can enjoy the view of the hills sloping down in the north-east to the sea. You can enjoy an even better view from the near summit of Mt. Murano. Follow southwards trail 143A on a flat track at first, and then steeper to go beyond the last crags next to the summit, a bit far from the cross, highlighted by a benchmark of Istituto Geografico Militare.
