The Park's area comprises the floodplains belonging to the municipalities of Ostiglia, Serravalle a Po, Pieve di Coriano and Sustinente, and it extends between the main levee and the bank of the river Po, also including the fluvial islands Mafalda and Rodi, the Isola Boschina Nature Reserve and the SPAs Portiolo, Viadana, San Benedetto Po and Ostiglia. They are floodplain areas of different extent, arable lands or cultivated with poplars, where natural vegetations are present especially around the wetlands and in the fluvial islands. From the glimpses of these landscapes you can discover the magic of the great river and the industriousness of the people who benefited from its resources.
